    Dolphin Friends Occupy Greenpeace Office

    Greenpeace’ support of the Panama declaration has been heavily criticised by animal rights and marine mammal rights groups. On September 27 the whale rights group known as the Dolphin Within Society, arranged a demonstration outside the Greenpeace offices in Sydney and also, according to their press release, “entered the office in masses” but were not allowed to go beyond the reception area. They claim that Greenpeace’ support for the Panama declaration will result in a weakening of the US dolphin-safe tuna legislation, allowing tuna from “dolphin-dangerous” fishing fleets to enter the US market.
