.......The philosophy of sustainable use, that of using living
resources in a way that will not lead to supplies being
exhausted, is fundamental to WWF's conservation work. The
organization works both to encourage people to follow
traditional ways of using resources, where this is
appropriate, and to introduce new approaches to resource use.
WWF makes a point of involving local communities in planning
and managing all these schemes, and of ensuring that they
benefit economically from them ........
