This Greenpeace page on the World Wide Web shows a factory ship with the caption "Greenpeace action against Norwegian [sic] whaling". The caption should have read:
"Greenpeace action against the Japanese factory ship Dai-Ni Nisshin Maru in the Antarctic in 1989. This factory ship was scrapped six years ago, but as the replacement is much smaller, we prefer to use a picture of the old one. And anyway, 1989 was the last time we got any decent pictures."
Harpoon regrets the false impression Greenpeace has created that Norwegian coastal whalers use 23,000-ton factory ships.
